Making the News 2

The National Education Network took the opportunity offered by the BETT 2010 show to launch their new 'Making The News 2' publishing tool. A host of new features, tools and resources brings this online news publishing package right up to date and for the hundreds of schools that regularly use MTN to keep in touch with their community the new package will be a massive shot in the arm.
The NEN Live Reporter team made use of the new package throughout the four days of the BETT show to post a whole series of fascinating reports and articles which make use of text, images, video and audio to tell the world about what they did and saw at the world's largest educational technology show. The young journalists loved the ease of use of the new package and found it easy to use without any tuition or explanation needed. The feature that came at the top of their list was definitely the new 'media editor', which offers users a fully working online video editing suite. Users can shoot video then upload it to the platform and edit it online, adding titles, audio and making use of uploaded images as well.
Many of the visitors to both the NEN and E2BN stands took time out to give MTN2 the once over and the team received some very favourable comments. One of the visitors was Professor Stephen Heppell, ICT guru and government adviser, who seemed suitably impressed by the tools it offered.
